Plagiarism
As indicated in the video about plagiarism and the Honor System, the Writing Center can help if you have trouble determining what needs documentation.
And, remember, if any of your work is NOT pledged it will NOT be credited. (An unpledged project will receive a zero.) It will be removed from the website, you will not have an opportunity to redo it, and you will not be able to claim it on your weekly list of course work.

Honor Issues
As indicated in this video, the Writing Center can work with students on quoting, paraphrasing, documentation, and other issues related to completing accurate work that does not raise questions about honesty (e.g., claiming someone else’s words or ideas as their own–an Honor offense).
Sample Responses
The following examples do not match any topic in HIST 314, but they should provide useful models for thoughtful, analytical, and challenging responses to classmates’ projects (and responses).
** Be sure to read responses to your projects and to your responses. If a classmate asks a question or makes a suggestion, reply.

Sample Weekly List of Activities
Although compiled using topics for another course, the following should provide a useful guide for HIST 314. The goal is for students to be aware of their work–and to make it easier for the instructor to double check each student’s adherence to course requirements.
